
Biography
Geoff Turner is Vice President, Government Relations. In this role, he supports the Council’s engagement with the federal government and key stakeholders, bringing more than 20 years of experience spanning government, politics and government relations consulting to advance the interests of Canada’s airport system.
Prior to joining CAC, Geoff was among the top-25 most active consultant lobbyists in Ottawa, representing and advising clients in major sectors, including energy, infrastructure, aviation and clean technology, with deep experience in analysis, strategy, stakeholder engagement and communications. Earlier in his career, Geoff served for nearly a decade as a senior political advisor to Ontario cabinet ministers for policy, stakeholder and Indigenous affairs. His experience provides a deep understanding of how public policy is developed, debated and implemented.
A lifelong aviation enthusiast and avid world traveller, Geoff has experienced flight in many forms — from northern bush plane charters to a transoceanic queen of the skies. He believes airports and aviation are an essential driver in connecting people, communities and economies across Canada and around the world, and a foundation of more than a century of global progress and prosperity.
